HARPREET SINGH BRAR J. (Oral) Prayer in this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of directions to respondents No.1 and 2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents No.4 and 5. Further prayer has been made to direct respondent No.2 to ensure that the petitioners are not implicated in any false case as private respondents are threatening the petitioners to implicate them in false criminal cases and also advance threats of elimination. Another prayer has been made to direct respondent No.3 not to call the petitioners time and again and make them sit there for hours without following the due process and to decide the representation dated 16.05.2024 (Annexure P-4).

CRM-M No.5074 of 2024 O&M) Reply by way of affidavit of Akarshi Jain, Assistant Commissioner of Police, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3, dated 06.12.2024 is on record. Learned State counsel also refers to the reply filed on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3 dated 15.07.2024 and submits that the veracity of the allegations made by the petitioners in the complaint (Annexure P-4) was thoroughly examined by the jurisdictional police authorities and no substance was found in the allegations and the complaint was recommended to be consigned to record and further no threat to the life and liberty of the petitioners, has been found. Learned State counsel further submits that petitioner No.3 is accused in FIR No.91 dated 14.07.2024, registered under Section 420 IPC at Police Station Division No.8, District Ludhiana, and he has been arrested in the said FIR.

In view of the above, no further directions are required to be passed in the present petition.

Disposed of, accordingly.
