(ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for protection of life and liberty of the petitioner, who apprehend threat to his life, and in the alternative, seeking issuance of directions to official respondents to take action on the representation dated 21.05.2024 (Annexure P-6). 2.
At the outset, learned counsel for the petitioner restricts his prayer for issuance of directions to respondent No.3-Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, to look into the representation dated 21.05.2024 (Annexure P-6) of the petitioner and take appropriate steps in accordance with law.
