MANJARI NEHRU KAUL , J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for protection of life and liberty of the petitioner, who apprehend threat to her life at the hands of private respondents No.4 to 8.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner had filed an online complaint with regard to some monetary dispute against the private respondents. Respondents No.4 to 8 had ever since then been threatening the petitioner with dire consequences, in which regard a representation dated 01.04.2024 (Annexure P-3) was also made to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur, for protection of her life and liberty, however, in vain. 3.

Learned counsel submits that he would be satisfied if directions are issued to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur, to look into the representation (Annexure P-3) and take appropriate steps at the earliest.

In view of the above, the present petition is disposed of with a directions to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur, to look into the representation dated 01.04.2024 (Annexure P-3) qua the alleged threat perception and take necessary steps, as may be required, in accordance with law, to ensure that the life and liberty of the petitioner is not jeopardized at the hands of the private respondents.
