Petitioner, who is about 80 years of age, has approached this court with a prayer that official respondents be directed to protect his life and liberty as also to examine his complaint, Annexure P-13 and register an FIR on basis of same. At the outset, learned State counsel submits that complaint, Annexure P-13 submitted by the petitioner shall be examined. A considered decision thereon shall be taken by respondent no. 2 after considering the entire record, in any case not later than two months. On instructions from ASI Ram Krishan, who is present in court, he submits that adequate protection shall be provided to the petitioner to ensure that no harm is caused to him.

In view of above, no further direction is necessary. Disposed of. However, Commissioner of Police shall be at liberty to examine whether a cognizable offence is made out in view of allegations leveled in the complaint and act accordingly.
