Petitioner is seeking issuance of directions to respondent No.2-Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar City, to look into and decide the representation No.-234-Peshi dated 18.05.2023 (Annexure P-1) in a fair and just manner.

Reply by way of short affidavit of Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sub Division-V, Cantonment, District Jalandhar, on behalf of respondents No.1 to 3 has been filed in Court, which is taken on record, Copy supplied to the counsel opposite.

Learned State counsel, while drawing the attention of this Court to the reply filed, has submitted that the petitioner was summoned as many as nine times from 27.06.2023 till 11.08.2023, however, he had failed to appear before the answering respondent i.e. Assistant Commissioner of Police, Sub Division-V, Cantonment, District Jalandhar. It has also been submitted by learned State counsel that in fact the petitioner along with his wife was facing trial in FIR No.169 dated 21.12.2019 under Sections 419, 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 120-B IPC. The instant petition seeking directions was a veiled PUNEET SACHDEVA 2023.09.21 15:14 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document.

CRM-M-28430-2023 -2attempt on the part of the petitioner to pressurize the complainant party in that case not to pursue the criminal case against them. It has also been submitted by learned State counsel that the submissions of the petitioner that he apprehends danger to his life and liberty were without any substance.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the relevant material on record.

In view of the reply filed and submissions made by learned State counsel, this Court is not inclined to issue directions, as prayed for.
