DEEPAK MANCHANDA, J.(ORAL) The petitioner has filed this criminal writ petition under Article 226 Constitution of India read with Section 3(1)(aa) of the Punjab Good Conduct Prisoners(Temporary Release) Act, 1962 for releasing him on parole for 90 days to take care of his ailing father. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he is ready to move a fresh application for Parole before the concerned Jail Authorities on the ground of treatment and taking care of his ailing father. Learned counsel appearing for UOI-respondent No.1 submits that they have no objection regarding the grant of parole to the petitioner on the aforesaid ground in view of the letter dated 10.10.2022, annexed with the reply.

CRWP-6791-2022 -2In view of the above, the present criminal writ petition is disposed of with a direction that if the petitioner moves an application before the concerned Authorities for Parole for treatment and taking care of his ailing father, the same shall be decided within two weeks of its submission.
