Elanchezhian, IPS, Senior Superintendent of Police, District Amritsar (Rural) has come present and filed affidavit by way of status report whereby it is the stand of the State that they have registered FIR No. 30 dated 9.3.2017 under sections 365/120-B IPC at Police Station Ajnala, District Amritsar (Rural) against six accused out of which one accused has already been arrested and other offences including under section 302 IPC are likely to be added during the course of investigations.

In view of the stand of the State, counsel for the petitioner has made statement withdrawing the present petition, however, reserving the right of the petitioner to knock the jurisdiction of this Court on the same very grounds, if any such eventuality arises in future. Allowed to do so. In view of the averments made by counsel for the petitioner that the family members of the petitioner are facing threats at the hands of the accused, it would serve the ends of justice, if directions are issued to the Dalbir Singh Tiwana 2017.04.03 11:30 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh.
