***** KARAMJIT SINGH , J. (Oral) Petitioners allege that both of them are major and they got married on 11.07.2022 against the wishes of respondent Nos.4 to 7 who are related to petitioner No.1. This is their first marriage. Counsel for the petitioners submits that the aforesaid private respondents have threatened to cause harm to both the petitioners and in this regard, representation (Annexure P-5) was given on 11.7.2022 to respondent No.2 but till date no action has been taken by the concerned authority in this regard.

( 2 ) CRWP-6643-2022 Mr. Naveen Kumar Sheoran, DAG, accepts notice on behalf of the State of Haryana. He submits that the concerned authority will look into the matter and take decision on the representation of the petitioners in accordance with law.
Mr. Virender Soni, Advocate has put in appearance on behalf of respondent No.4 and filed power of attorney, which is taken on record. The counsel for respondent No.4 submits that father of petitioner No.1 is having no objection to the marriage of the parties. However, the father intends to meet his daughter and as such respondent No.2 be given direction to arrange the meeting between the petitioners and respondents No.4 & 5, as per the convenience of both the parties, in his office. Respondent No.2 is also directed to arrange meeting between the petitioners and respondents No.4 & 5 in his office on some working day as per the convenience of both the parties.
In view of above, without going into merits of the case, this petition is hereby disposed of with direction to respondent No.2 to consider representation (Annexure P-5) and to provide appropriate protection to the petitioners if so warranted. However, any observations made in this order will not be construed as an expression of opinion on the validity of the marriage of the petitioners.
In case the petitioners have committed any offence, the law will take its own course.
