SUVIR SEHGAL, J. (Oral) The Court has been convened through video conferencing due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Through the instant petition, the petitioner seeks anticipatory bail in case FIR No.70 dated 15.07.2019 registered under Section 21 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 at Police Station Lambra, District Jalandhar (Annexure P-1).

Having argued for sometime and realizing that the Court is not inclined to agree with his submissions, counsel for the petitioner submits that he does not press the petition.

Counsel submits that the petitioner has clean antecedents and he was apprehended on the allegation that 0.5 gram of heroin, which falls within the ambit of small quantity has been recovered from him. CRM-M-33434 of 2021 {2} submits that the petitioner was released on bail, but because of his health, though he went to attend the Court on 02.08.2021, he had to rush to a hospital, his bail bonds were cancelled and non-bailable warrants have been issued for his arrest. Counsel submits that the petitioner is ready to surrender, join the proceedings and file a petition for grant of regular bail. Request of counsel for the petitioner has been considered. In case the petitioner surrenders before the trial Court within a period of two weeks from today and files an application seeking grant of regular bail, the trial Court shall make an endeavour to decide the application on the day, it is presented.

Petition is disposed of.
