(ORAL) The present peƟƟon has been filed under ArƟcle 226 of the ConsƟtuƟon of India read with SecƟon 482 Cr.P.C. for the protecƟon of life and liberty of the peƟƟoners and for the issuance of direcƟons to respondents No. 1 to 4 not to harass the peƟƟoners. 2.

Counsel for the peƟƟoners submits that peƟƟoners are senior ciƟzens and son of the peƟƟoners is married but his relaƟons to them are not good and they disinherited him. He further submits that son of the peƟƟoners is living with his in-laws family as Ghar Jawai. However, respondent No. 5 along with other pressurising them to pay for the mis-deed of their son.

Counsel for respondent No. 5 on instrucƟons submits that there is no need to afraid from him and whatever acƟon he wants to take, he shall take in accordance with law.

State counsel submits that police is protector and they have no reason to harass the peƟƟoners. In case, they have any grievance, they can file representaƟon to higher authority for redressal of the same.

Given such statement, the present peƟƟon stands disposed of. Liberty is reserved to the peƟƟoners to file a fresh representaƟon to the concerned Superintendent of Police, in case of any fresh threat percepƟons. It is clarified that in case any such applicaƟon is filed, the same be decided on top most priority and not later than four days as peƟƟoners are senior ciƟzens. All pending miscellaneous applicaƟons, if any, stand disposed of.
