This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking directions for temporary release of the petitioner for a period of four weeks in order to enable him to meet his ailing mother. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Even on the previous two hearings, nobody has come present on behalf of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the respondents has filed reply today in the Court and the same is taken on record. It indicates that parole has been declined to the petitioner on the ground that on verification it was found that the petitioner is undergoing imprisonment in the case registered vide FIR No. 59 dated 20.5.2012, under Section 21 of the Narcotic Drugs & DEEPAK KUMAR BHARDWAJ 2016.07.26 14:03 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Criminal Writ Petition No. 216 of 2016 Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 at Police Station Navi Baradari, Jalandhar. The petitioner being police official was involved in drug (Heroin) paddling. His release was, thus, found to be A danger to the security of State and public peace.
