JASWANT SINGH, J (ORAL) The petitioner, who is working as Senior Assistant in the office of the Addl. Director General of Prisons, Punjab, has sought for issuance of directions to promote him as Deputy Superintendent as a vacancy is stated to be available. Upon notice, reply on behalf of the State has been filed contesting the claim.
At the time of hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the present petition has become infructuous as the petitioner has since been promoted as Deputy Superintendent vide order dated 27.5.2016 w.e.f 31.5.2016. Dismissed as infructuous.
