The application received in the office of Hon'ble Chief Justice has been taken on judicial side.

It is stated in the application that son of the applicant namely Ranjodh Singh was taken away by the police and the applicant fears that his son will be implicated in some false case. Notice of motion was issued in this case and learned State counsel was directed to get conducted the inquiry and to produce the status report before this Court on the date fixed. Today, learned State counsel filed by reply by way of affidavit of DSP (Rural) Sub-Division Attari, District Amritsar. It is stated in the reply that Ranjodh Singh is neither arrested nor his vehicle was taken into police custody. CRWP No.265 of 2016 -2is not wanted in any case by the police of District Amritsar. Ranjodh Singh was never arrested by the police. It is also stated that Ranjodh Singh came back to the petitioner on 09.02.2016 and he told her that he went to his friend and his phone was damaged and he did not intimate to her due to fear of his father. The affidavits of Ranjodh Singh and petitioner Sukhvinder Kaur have also been placed on record.

In view of the reply filed by the State, no further action is required in the present criminal writ petition and therefore, the same stands disposed of accordingly.
