(Oral) Farjana who claims that she is also known as Janki has been produced today before this Court by HC Usha Rani under escort of ASI Anil Kumar, Police Station Sector-11, Chandigarh.

The girl on the asking of the Court has testified that she is aged around 21 years and thought has undergone marriage with petitioner Vikas Kumar but she does not want to stay with him and is presently residing with her parents in village Garhi Khatikan, Sardhana, Tehsil Sardhana, District Meerut (Uttar Pradesh).

Criminal Writ Petition No. 412 of 2016 -2Faced with the aforesaid situation, learned counsel for the petitioner wishes to withdraw the present petition. Allowed to do so. Dismissed as withdrawn.

The police officials who have brought the girl are directed to ensure that she is safely taken back where she wants to go at her own sweet-will.
