**** ANITA CHAUDHRY, J The petitioner is seeking regular bail in FIR No. 24 dated 12.2.2017 registered at Police Station Civil Lines, Batala under Sections 304-B, 120-B IPC.

Counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner is in custody for over a year and not a single witness has been examined. It was urged that the parents of the petitioner were living on the ground floor and the couple were living on the first floor and anticipatory bail had been allowed to the parents and the complainant himself had mentioned that it was a case of suicide and the trial is taking time. It was urged that it will have to be seen at the trial whether there was any abetment or instigation. Petitioner is in custody for over a year. He was arrested on 13.2.2017. Charge has been framed but no witness has been examined till date.

Without commenting anything on the merits of the case and considering the fact that the trial will take time to conclude, the petition is allowed and the petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing local surety and adequate bonds to the satisfaction of the trial Court/Duty Magistrate.
