***** Rajan Gupta, J. (Oral) This petition has been filed under Section 439 Cr.P.C. seeking regular bail to the petitioners in a case FIR No.4 dated 05.01.2018 registered under Section 306 IPC at Police Station Bhaini Mian Khan, District Gurdaspur, Punjab.

Briefly factual matrix of the case is that on 05.01.2018, petitioners alongwith deceased-Rajan were playing Cricket in the school play-ground. Allegedly, deceased was threatened and given beatings by petitioners. As deceased developed fear, he went home and committed suicide by hanging himself from a fan.

Admittedly, investigation has been completed and trial is in progress. This court does not intend to express any opinion on the merits of the case at this stage. However, trial of the case may take still some time to conclude. Thus, no useful purpose would be served by detaining the petitioners any longer. Accordingly, petition is allowed. Petitioners are directed to be enlarged on bail to the satisfaction of Chief Judicial Magistrate/Duty Magistrate, Gurdaspur.
