This petition was entertained on the basis of e-mail received from Surinder Pal Singh. He alleged that Bhupinder Singh @ Bhinda was illegally arrested by CIA staff Fazilka police. Reply by way of affidavit of Narinder Pal Singh, Superintendent of Police (D), Fazilka has been filed in court today. Learned State counsel has referred to same. According to him, Bhupinder Singh @ Bhinda was never detained by the police nor he is required in any case. It has been found that he is living at his residence in Basti Vakeekan Wali, Tehsil and District Ferozepur. In view of stand taken by State, no cause of action survives in this petition. Dismissed.
