The affidavit, filed by Ajmer Singh, Superintendent, Central Jail, Hoshiarpur, indicates that case for release of the petitioner on parole has been recommended and forwarded to the District Magistrate, Hoshiarpur vide letter dated 18.7.2016.

We, therefore, deem it appropriate to dispose of the present petition with a direction to the District Magistrate, Hoshiarpur to take a decision on the aforesaid issue within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order.
