(Oral) The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking directions to the official respondents to protect her life and liberty from the hands of private respondents. Learned counsel for the petitioners inter alia contends that the petitioner has inherited property from his father. The in-law's family members of the petitioner want to grab her property, thus, they are attempting to cause physical and mental injury to her. The petitioner has filed a representation to police authorities seeking protection of her life and liberty.
Learned State counsel, who on advance notice is present in Court, submits that the jurisdictional police authorities are duty bound to protect life and liberty of the petitioner. She further submits that jurisdictional police authorities would look into the representation of the petitioner.
