***** SANJEEV PRAKASH SHARMA , J (ORAL) This petition has been adjourned for 03.10.2023. On the oral request of learned counsel for the petitioner, the main case is taken up today itself.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has already been transferred to a different station which is nearer to his house and, therefore, he does not press this writ petition with regard to orders of transfer passed earlier, which had been stayed by this Court, while the respondents did not implement the stay order, they passed a fresh order transferring the petitioner to a nearer place. In view thereof, no directions are required to be passed against the respondents. The other prayer made in the petition with regard to release of salary and subsistence allowance of the petitioner for the period he was kept under suspension, the said aspect shall be dealt with only after the disposal DINESH BANSAL 2023.08.03 14:16 I attest to the accuracy of this order Chandigarh

CWP-15858-2021 (O&M) -2- 2023:PHHC:099383 of the pending inquiry by the respondents in terms of Punjab Service Rules. Learned counsel for the petitioner orally prays that the respondents be directed to conclude the inquiry expeditiously. In the light of findings already arrived at by the concerned District Child Protection Officer and taking into consideration the fact that the petitioner has already been exonerated by the District Child Protection Officer, which has been approved by the Senior Superintendent of Police and no case under the POCSO Act, has been registered against the petitioner, it is deemed appropriate to direct the respondents to conclude the departmental inquiry initiated on the said basis expeditiously, preferably, within a period of three months from today.

With these observations, the writ petition is disposed of. The pending miscellaneous application, if any, shall also stand disposed of.
