Harsimran Singh Sethi, J. (Oral) Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that respondent No.6, who has nothing to do with the property, has been handed over the keys of the property by the police. Learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that property was rented to respondent No.5 for residential purpose, which was being misused by her and thereafter, respondent No.5 left the country without paying the rent and is now residing in Canada. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the property of the petitioners is now being misused by unauthorised persons and the police is taking no action.

Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that for the grievance, which is being raised in the present petition, the petitioners have already submitted a representation dated 25.05.2020 (though, no date has been mentioned in the copy of the petition) (Annexure P/6) to the Additional NARESH KUMAR 2020.09.17 17:07 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CRM-M-28372 of 2020 -2Deputy Commissioner of Police-2, Amritsar City, which is still pending consideration with him and the petitioners will be satisfied, at this stage, in case a time bound direction be given to Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police-2, Amritsar City to decide the said representation by passing an appropriate speaking order.

Notice of motion.

Mr. Sandeep Singh Deol, DAG, Punjab who has joined the proceedings through video conference, keeping in view the service of advance copy of petition accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State. Learned State counsel submits that he has instructions from Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police-2 Amritsar City to state that the representation dated 25.05.2020 (Annexure P/6) submitted by the petitioners will be decided by the said authority within a period of four weeks from today by passing an appropriate order and in case, any action is to be taken thereafter, the same will also be taken expeditiously in accordance with law. Learned counsel for the petitioners states that keeping in view the statement made by the learned State counsel, he does not press the present petition any further and the same may be disposed of as such. The present petition is disposed of as having been not pressed. It is made clear that the respondents will be bound by their statement as recorded above.
