This is a petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking directions for temporary release of the petitioner on emergency parole for a period of six weeks on the ground that his wife is ailing.
Learned counsel for the respondents has filed reply to the petition, by way of affidavit of Subhash Chand, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bilaspur, Yamuna Nagar, today in the Court, which is taken on record, wherein illness of the petitioner's wife warranting treatment from the PGIMS, Chandigarh has been admitted. Status report has also been shown to us, which we deem it appropriate to take on record as "Mark A" suggesting medical investigation of the petitioner's wife and some history of her DEEPAK KUMAR BHARDWAJ 2016.08.10 09:28 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
Criminal Writ Petition No. 693 of 2016 ailment.
Having regard to the status report and considering the medical condition of the petitioner's wife and the treatment of the PGIMS, Chandigarh, we deem it appropriate to accept the present petition and to direct the temporary release of petitioner on parole for a period of one month commencing from 10.8.2016. The petitioner will be required to surrender on 9.9.2016.
