**** DEEPAK MANCHANDA J. (ORAL) Present petition has been filed under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of mandamus directing the respondents to release the retiral benefits as well as service dues i.e. Gratuity, Leave encashment and all other benefits of the petitioner along with interest @ 18% per annum.
Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioner has retired from the post of Sweeper on 31.08.2022 from Muncipal Council Goniana Mandi, District Bathinda. He further contends that the retiral benefits of the petitioner have not been released till date, except Rs. 1,00,000/- and he has sent a representation to the respondent No. 2 in this regard, which has not been decided till date.
A perusal of the representation (Annexure P-4) shows that the same is half-baked as the complete details have not been mentioned in the same.
Faced with the same, learned counsel for the petitioner undertakes to file fresh representation before the concerned authorities, within two weeks from today.
