RAJESH BHARDWAJ, J. (ORAL) Matter has been taken up through video conferencing via Webex facility in the light of the Pandemic Covid-19 situation and as per instructions.

The prayer in the present petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for protection of life and liberty of the petitioner. Notice of motion.

On the asking of the Court, Mr.M.S.Nagra, Assistant Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petitioner has filed a representation, dated 15.07.2021, Annexure P-1, before the Inspector General of Police, Patiala Zone, Patiala.

In view of the above, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3, i.e, the Senior Superintendent of Police, Sangrur, to look into the representation (if any filed before him within one week from today) and decide the same expeditiously and preferably within a MEENU 2021.08.19 18:11 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document chandigarh
