RAJAN GUPTA J.
This is a petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking extension of parole granted to husband of the petitioner vide order dated 03.12.2015.
Prayer has been opposed by learned State counsel. According to him, husband of the petitioner jumped parole and never informed the jail authorities about the reasons for delay in surrendering before the jail authorities. He has referred to reply by way of short affidavit of Gurcharan Singh Dhaliwal, Deputy Superintendent, Central Jail, Patiala.
It is on record that husband of the petitioner has been convicted in other cases as well. In the facts and circumstances of the case, I do not find any ground to extend the parole granted to the husband of the petitioner. Petition is without any merit and is hereby dismissed.
