**** JAGMOHAN BANSAL , J. (Oral) The petitioner through instant petition under Article 226 of Constitution of India is seeking directions to respondent No.2 to decide his appeal.
The petitioner applied for renewal of passport on 17.09.2021. The application was accepted by Indian Embassy at Lisbon, Portugal. The application came to be rejected by respondents. The petitioner assailing rejection order preferred a writ petition bearing No.CWP-20726-2022 before this Court which vide order dated 22.11.2022 came to be dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to prefer an appeal against the impugned order. The petitioner has preferred an appeal on 21.03.2023 before Appellate Authority i.e. respondent No.2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that respondent No.2 may be directed to adjudicate appeal of the petitioner in a time bound manner.
