Pursuant to the order dated 6.6.2016, Maninderpreet Kaur is present in Court. She states that she had married to petitioner on 20.01.2014 and they had been residing together at their matrimonial home at Barnala. She further states that she would like to accompany the petitioner Jagdeep Singh, her husband and she would not like to return to her parental home. Respondent No.4 Ranjit Singh son of Nazar Singh, father of Maninderpreet Kaur is present in Court and states that neither he, his wife, his sons nor any of his relatives have any objection to the marriage solemnized by his SATYAWAN 2016.06.10 16:53 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court Chandigarh

Crl. Writ Petition No. 803 of 2016 -2daughter with Jagdeep Singh petitioner. He has no objection if Maninderpreet Kaur accompany the petitioner Jagdeep Singh to her matrimonial home from the Court itself. He further submits that there is no question of any threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner or his daughter from him or any of his family members. Documents i.e. passport, educational certificates etc. of Maninderpreet Kaur would be handed over to her within next two days.

Maninderpreet Kaur is at liberty being major, her date of birth being 21.09.1992, to accompany her husband to her matrimonial home. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the sensitive situation, respondent No.2 be directed to take adequate steps to ensure the protection of life and liberty of the petitioner and his wife Maninderpreet Kaur.

This petition is accordingly disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 to look into and take appropriate action as may be required, keeping in view the threat perception to the petitioner and Maninderpreet Kaur.
