The controversy pertains to the procedure required to be followed for conducting elections of Mayor, Senior Deputy Mayor and Deputy Mayor as envisaged under the Haryana Municipal Corporation Act, 1994. It is not in dispute that the election in question had taken place on 04.07.2013. The term of the elected office bearers is near to expire. At this juncture, it thus appears that the writ petition, in a way, has become infructuous except that the question of law raised in this writ petition is to be kept open for adjudication as and when the occasion arises. Ordered accordingly.
