(ORAL) Though this writ petition was taken up as a public interest litigation suo-motu by this Court in respect of allotment of government accommodations, however, with the passage of time, no useful purpose would be served by keeping it pending any further as much water has flown since then.

To this, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the writ petition may be disposed of as infructuous leaving the legal issue involved therein open for adjudication in an appropriate case. Ordered accordingly.
