This is a petition under Article 226/227 of the Constitution of India seeking directions for temporary release of the petitioner for a period of four weeks in order to enable him to attend the marriage of his sister which is stated to be fixed for 13.7.2016.

Reply has been filed by the respondent-State today in the Court, which is taken on record. It is stated therein that petitioner was earlier granted parole which concession he abused.

In view of above, we would not allow the suspension of sentence of the petitioner but deem it appropriate to adopt the alternative course to enable him to attend the marriage of his sister which is stated to be fixed for 13.7.2016 while being in custody.
