Present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, inter alia, for quashing the Instructions dated 17.04.2008 (P-2) regarding enlistment of Inspectors / ASIs, issued by respondent No. 2 (Director General of Police, Punjab).

After hearing the arguments at length, when this Court was not inclined to accept the prayer, learned counsel, on instructions from petitioner, wishes to withdraw the present petition with liberty to persuade the authorities for his grievance.
