(Oral) The petitioners have filed this petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 for issuance of direction to official respondents No. 2 to 5 to protect their life and liberty from the hands of private respondents No.6 and 7. Petitioners are stated to be major and have solemnized marriage on 29.12.2017 (Annexure P-3) which is against the wishes of their parents. Factum of marriage has been pleaded with reference to photographs (Annexure P-4). Petitioners have an apprehension at the hands of private respondents No.6 and 7 and in this regard, they have submitted a representation dated 30.12.2017 [Annexure P-5 (colly)] to respondent No.3 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Police District Batala, District Gurdaspur and respondent No.5 - S.H.O., P.S. Qila Lal Singh, Police District Batala, District Gurdaspur but no action has been taken so far.
