***** GURVINDER SINGH GILL, J . (Oral) The instant petition has been filed seeking issuance of a direction to the trial Court to expedite the proceedings and to dispose of the application for discharge of the petitioner as the said application was stated to be pending since 25.1.2021.

When the matter was taken up on the last date of hearing i.e. on 18.7.2022, the following order was passed:

"The petitioner seeks issuance of directions to the trial Court so as to expedite and decide the application for discharge filed by the petitioner in the matter arising out of FIR No.008 dated 01.01.2017 registered at Police Station Sushant Lok, Gurugram, under Section 420 IPc and Section 66D of the Information Technology Act.

Before proceeding to pass any order in this case, this Court deems it appropriate that a status report be called from the trial Court concerned. As such, the Registry is directed to requisition a status report from the trial Court concerned in respect of application for discharge. The Presiding Officer concerned shall MOHAN SINGH 2022.08.31 18:02 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document

CRM-M-30765-2022 (O&M) -- 2 -- also inform as to the tentative period likely to be taken for disposal of the petition, in case, the same is still pending. List again on 31.08.2022."

Report dated 18.8.2022 has been received from learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Gurugram, wherein it has been reported that the said application has been disposed of inasmuch as charges for offence punishable under Section 66-D of Information Technology Act have been framed.
