, -./ Mr. Ankush Kamboj, Advocate, PH/3263/2025, Mobile No. 6280818077, who is appointed as Legal Aid Counsel on behalf of the petitioner contends that the present petition has been filed for seeking directions to respondents No. 5 to 12 not to harass the petitioner and his wife and further to restrain the private respondents from interfering in the personal life of the petitioner.

Legal Aid Counsel contends that the private respondents have been unnecessarily visiting the house of the petitioner notwithstanding that that there is no FIR or any other legal proceeding pending against the petitioner.

Learned State Counsel, however, contends that the present petition has been filed to abuse the process of law. He contends that even though a specific averment has been made that there is no FIR or any other criminal case pending against him, however, an FIR bearing No. 20 dated 03.05.2023 under Sections 395, 397, 506 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 was registered at Police Station Lakhewali, District Sri Muktsar Sahib against the petitioner in which he was arrested on 30.05.2023 and charge sheet has also been filed. He further submits that two other FIRs have been registered against him as well.

Learned Legal Aid Counsel contends that in the said circumstances, the present petition would be deemed to have been rendered infructuous.

Ordered accordingly.

A copy of this order be sent to High Court Legal Services Committee for information and necessary action.
