This petition has been filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (earlier Section 482 Cr.P.C.) seeking directions to respondents No.1 to 6 to file a status report regarding investigation conducted in FIR No.275 dated 02.08.2024 registered under Sections 336(2), 338, 336(3) and 340(2) of BNS, 2023 (earlier Sections 468, 467, 469 and 471 IPC) at Police Station City Kharar, District SAS Nagar (Mohali), Punjab, and to consider representations dated 11.03.2026 and 21.04.2026 with a further prayer for issuance of directions to conduct fair and proper investigation through a Special Investigation Team or by a senior police officer not below the rank of Superintendent of Police, as according to the petitioner, no effective investigation has been conducted, RENU RAWAT 2026.05.08 16.12 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the petitioners have preferred a representations dated 11.03.2026 and 21.04.2026 but no action has been taken so far. Learned counsel submits that he would be satisfied if directions are issued to respondent No.4- Senior Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar, Mohali, Punjab to look into his representation dated 21.04.2026 (Annexure P-3) and take appropriate steps at the earliest. 3.

I have heard learned counsel for the parties. 6.
Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the case and the prayer made by the petitioners, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.4- Senior Superintendent of Police, SAS Nagar, Mohali, Punjab to consider and decide the representation dated 21.04.2026 (Annexure P-3) of the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order and pass an appropriate order.
