This petition is filed for seeking a mandamus to the respondents to grant interest @ 18% per annum on the amount which was due from the year 2007.

Counsel for the petitioner has submitted that the petitioner is entitled to the interest which has not been paid though the principal amount has been paid. However, he has not been able to answer the query of the Court that as to whether the petitioner would be entitled to interest from the year 2007 when it was allegedly became due, for which even a civil suit for recovery after three years is not maintainable. In this regard, no plausible answer has been given and consequently, I do not find any reason to interfere in this writ petition though leaving the petitioner to avail any other remedy, in accordance with law, if any.

Dismissed.
