This petition has been filed under Section 528 BNSS, 2023 (erstwhile Section 482 CrPC) seeking transfer of investigation in FIR No. 116 dated 22.12.2025 (Annexure P-8), registered under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 471, 506 and 120-B IPC (corresponding to Sections 318(4), 336(2)(3), 340(2), 351(2)(3), 61(2) BNS, 2023) at P.S. Division No. 04, Ludhiana, to an independent agency/SIT comprising senior IPS officers not subordinate to the Commissioner of Police, Ludhiana, with a direction for fresh, fair, impartial and time-bound investigation. A further prayer is made to stay the impugned re-enquiry/investigation (Annexure P-9), including filing of any cancellation report, till completion of such independent investigation. 2.
Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the local police is in collusion with the accused persons.

Mr. P.S. Pandher, Assistant AG, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State and submits that the accused persons have been found innocent and that the final report shall be presented before the Court shortly. 5.
I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 6.
In view of the statement made by learned State counsel, no further order is required to be passed at this stage. However, the State is directed to file the final report within a period of six weeks. 7.
However, the petitioner shall be at liberty to contest the same, if so advised.
