The petitioner through instant petition under Articles 226/227 of the Constitution of India is seeking direction to respondents No. 1, 3 and 4 to issue him passport.

Counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that in FIR No. 177 dated 03.12.2018, under Section 506 of IPC and Sections 8, 12 and 17 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012, registered at Police Station Sadhaura, District Yamuna Nagar, the petitioner was acquitted vide judgment dated 04.10.2019 passed by Additional Sessions Judge, (Exclusive Court for heinous crimes against women and children), Yamuna PARAMJIT KAUR SAINI 2024.05.31 02:27 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CWP No.13747 of 2024 -2Nagar at Jagadhari. He is not involved in any other case. He has applied for passport vide application dated 09.05.2024.

Ms. Neha Sharma, Central Government Counsel for Union of India and Mr. Raman Sharma, Addl. A.G., Haryana, who on advance notice are present in Court, accept notice and waive service. 5.

With the consent of both sides, the petition is taken up for final disposal today itself.

Mr. Raman Sharma, Addl. A.G., Haryana does not dispute the afore-stated factual position.

Faced with this, counsel for Union of India states that competent authority would pass an appropriate order within six weeks, in accordance with law.
