(Oral) The present petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India inter alia seeking issuance of a writ in the nature of Mandamus for directing respondents No.1 to 3 to consider and decide the representation dated 28.04.2025 (Annexure P-3), submitted by the petitioners against the illegal construction being carried out by respondents No.4 and 5.

Short reply dated 19.07.2025, by way of affidavit of Sh. Gulpreet Singh Aulakh, Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Amritsar, on behalf of respondent No.3 has been filed by learned counsel appearing for respondent No.3, which is taken on record, subject to all just exceptions. The relevant extract thereof reads as under:- "2.
That while acting on the aforesaid representation dated 28.04.2025 (Annexure P-3), the site was inspected by the
Building Inspector, Municipal Corporation, Amritsar and it was found that respondent No.5 was carrying on construction without approval of building plan.

That consequently, notice dated 03.04.2025 Annexure R-3/1 under Section 270(1) of Punjab Municipal

In view of the aforesaid stand taken on behalf of respondent No.3, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the grievance raised by the petitioners stands addressed, accordingly, the present petition has been rendered infructuous.

In view of the above, the present petition is dismissed as having been rendered infructuous.
