Prayer in the present writ petition, filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India is for issuance of a writ in the nature of Habeas Corpus for directing respondents no.1 to 4 to get the detenue (driver of the petitioner's Transportation Company) released along with her truck containing assignment worth Rs.24,67,286/- from illegal detgention of respondent no.5 i.e. President, Mubarikpur Truck Union, Derabassi, District SAS Nagar (Mohali).

While issuing notice of motion on 08.05.2025, learned State counsel was asked to file Status Report.

Today, learned State Counsel has produced vernacular version of statement of the petitioner dated 11.05.2025, which has been recorded by ASI Chamkaur Singh at Police Station Derabassi, wherein it has been MONIKA 2025.05.12 18:12 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

CRWP-4765-2025 specifically stated by the petitioner that aforesaid driver/detenue namely Jatin is safe and has reached his home on 08.05.2025. As far as the truck in question is concerned, she has also received its custody along with the assignment.

In view of the above statement made by the petitioner, no further action is required in the present petition as the same has been rendered infructuous.
