The petitioner filed an application under Section 42 of the East Punjab Holdings (Consolidation and Prevention of Fragmentation) Act, 1948 through which he sought correction in the revenue record with regard to allotment of three plots to the petitioner during consolidation proceedings. 2.

Disposing of the petitioner's aforesaid application, the Director Land Records, Punjab at Jalandhar, through its order dated 10.02.2021, remitted the matter to be decided by the District Revenue Officer-cumConsolidation Officer, Kapurthala (for short the Consolidation Officer). 3.

Learned State counsel submits that he has express instructions that the Consolidation Officer shall finally decide the petitioner's aforesaid claim by 20.05.2025.
