(Oral) Petitioner No.1-Pooja Rani aged 19 years and petitioner No.2Kalu Ram, aged 24 years, have approached this Court seeking issuance of a direction to the official respondents to protect their lives and liberty as the petitioners who are living in a 'live-in relationship' apprehend threat to the same at the hands of respondents No.4 to 12, who do not approve of their relationship.
Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and while refraining from making any expression as regards the veracity of the averments made in the petition, the petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2 i.e. Senior Superintendent of Police, Shri Muktsar Sahib, to get representation dated 11.7.2022 (Annexure P-3) examined as regards the MOHAN SINGH 2022.07.15 05:11 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document
- 2 - CRWP-6792-2022 (O&M) alleged threat perception of the petitioners and to take necessary action as may be warranted under the facts and circumstances of the case. A copy of this order alongwith copy of the representation dated 11.7.2022 be sent to Senior Superintendent of Police, Shri Muktsar Sahib (respondent No.2), so as to enable him to do the needful expeditiously. It is, however, clarified that the aforesaid order is not to be taken as any kind of expression as regards the relationship of the parties.
