The present petition under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure has been filed for quashing of the impugned order dated 17.03.2021 passed by the Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Nakodar, vide which the petitioner was declared as proclaimed person in case FIR No.134 dated 08.08.2019, registered under Sections 302, 201 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, at Police Station Mehatpur, District Jalandhar. 2.
Vide order dated 02.06.2023, notice of motion was issued in this case and the operation of the impugned order dated 17.03.2021 was stayed. Still further, the petitioner was also directed to surrender before the Trial Court on or before 16.06.2023. However, the petitioner had not complied with the directions of this Court. Thereafter, the case was adjourned to 17.08.2023. On 17.08.2023, learned counsel for the petitioner had again sought and granted time to the petitioner to appear before the Trial VIRENDRA SINGH ADHIKARI 2023.09.13 14:45 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Punjab and Haryana High Court at Chandigarh

On the other hand, learned counsel for the State has pointed out that the petitioner has still not surrendered/appeared before the Trial Court, pursuant to the directions issued by this Court. 4.
In view of the above, this Court does not find it appropriate to continue with the present petition.
