State of Punjab and others .............Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE JASWANT SINGH Present:- Mr.Ajaivir Singh,Advocate for the petitioners Mz.Monika Chibbar Sharma,DAG Punjab Jaswant Singh,J.(Oral) The grievance of the four elected Panches of Gram Panchayat Wadala is that Sarpanch without any reasonable cause is not holding the meeting of Gram Panchayat and therefore, inviting action by the Director, Panchayats in view of clause (c ) of sub section (1) of Section 20 of the Punjab Panchayati Raj Act,1994. On the last date of hearing learned Deputy Advocate General,Punjab was requested to seek necessary instruction. At the time of hearing today, learned Deputy Advocate General.Punjab has produced a copy of letter written by Deputy Director,Rural Development and Panchayat,Punjab directing the District Development and Panchayat Officer,Jalandhar to enquire into the matter and send a report within ten days. The said letter is taken on record.

CWP 11368/2015 In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner states that the present writ petition may be disposed of with a direction to official respondents to take necessary action within specified time. The prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioner is reasonable and hence accepted.

Accordingly, present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to official respondents to take necessary action in the matter within six months from today.
