Versus
State of Punjab and others ......... Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE JAGMOHAN BANSAL
Present:
Mr. Lovish Arora, Advocate for the petitioners.
Mr.Shiva Khurmi, Asstt. A.G., Punjab.
**** JAGMOHAN BANSAL , J. (Oral) The petitioners through instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. are seeking direction to official respondents not to harass them at the behest of private respondents.
Learned counsel for the petitioner inter alia contends that petitioner No.1 is mother of one accused in FIR No.91 dated 13.05.2023 and petitioner No.2 is brother of said accused namely Gurpyar Singh. The petitioners have no direct or indirect concern with the aforesaid FIR, however, police is regularly calling them in police station and harassing them.
Learned State counsel, who on advance notice is present in Court, assures the Court that the jurisdictional police authorities would not call the petitioners at odd hours and they would be called during the day time, if necessary. They would not be asked to stay at police station beyond 5.00 p.m.
