MADAAN Present:- Mr. Veneet Sharma, Advocate for the petitioner. *** Learned counsel for the petitioner has circulated a written request for adjournment for the reason that he need some time to get instructions. However, he states that despite his best efforts he could not contact the petitioner.

I do not find any reason to accept the request for grant of adjournment, keeping in view the fact and circumstances of the case. The petitioner-accused was convicted and sentenced for an offence under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act by Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Amritsar vide judgment dated 25.9.2012. She had preferred an appeal against that judgment which was dismissed by Additional Sessions Judge, Amritsar vide order dated 3.10.2017 on account of non appearance of the appellant.

The petitioner has filed the present Revision Petition challenging the order passed by Additional Sessions Judge, Amritsar Parvinder Singh 2018.05.29 14:18 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document Chandigarh

CRR No. 4341 of 2017 without surrendering before Chief Judicial Magistrate, Amritsar. In that way she is an absconder.

Vide last order dated 2.4.2018, she was directed to surrender before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Amritsar within 7 days from today and it was further directed that certified copy of order passed by Chief Judicial Magistrate, Amritsar in that regard be placed on file by next date of hearing and in case of non compliance, the Revision Petition would be liable to be dismissed. No copy of such order has been placed on file. The last order has not been complied with, therefore, the Revision Petition stands dismissed.
