Advocate General, Haryana. **** SHEEL NAGU, CHIEF JUSTICE (Oral) The petitioner, who is in custody since14.10.2022, has filed this petition for grant of concession of regular bail for commission of offences of criminal breach of trust, cheating and forgery in FIR No. 638 dated 22.10.2020 under Sections 406, 419, 420, 465, 467, 468 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code registered at Police Station Sirsa City, District Sirsa.

The petitioner has large number of similar offences registered against him comprising 19 cases, out of which in two cases he has been acquitted and the remaining 17 cases are pending for adjudication. All these offences comprising criminal antecedents of similar nature in which cheating and forgery have been committed. 3.

The petitioner appears to be a habitual offender and therefore, it would be appropriate to allow the remaining witnesses to be examined by the prosecution in the case fixed before the trial Court on 12.12.2024.

Accordingly, the present petition stands dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to approach again after examination of other prosecution witnesses or if the trial is further delayed, whichever is earlier.
