At this stage, learned State counsel submits that the requisite D.O. letter to the concerned authorities seeking the DNA report has already been issued on 18.03.2026 and, as per the response received, the report is likely to be received by the second week of April, 2026. 5.

In view of the above, without commenting on the merits of the case, the present petition is dismissed as withdrawn at this stage, with a direction to the concerned authorities to submit the DNA report before the learned Trial Court within four weeks from today. 6.

In addition, the learned Trial Court shall make a positive endeavour to complete the testimony of all the material witnesses, including the complainant, in accordance with law.
