Seeking issuance of directions to the respondents for protecting life and liberty of the petitioner and further for issuance of directions to the respondents to produce the petitioner in pending Court proceedings through video conferencing on account of threat to his life. 2.
After arguing for some time, petitioner's counsel submits that he had two fold submissions. Firstly, he has threat from various in-mates or their co-counts and secondly he has to face massive number of trials and his transportation is risk to his life and they would have no objection whatsoever in case his appearance is made through video conferencing for all trials. On instructions, counsel further submits that his client would be undertaking that in case in every trial, he is produced through video conferencing, he shall not claim any prejudice before any of the Court.

Given above, considering the threat perception and the undertaking of the petitioner for not claiming prejudice before any of the Court, the concerned Courts shall consider such request for his presence through video conferencing when his physical presence is not required subject to filing his written undertaking in Court. 4.
The petitioner's counsel further seeks liberty to file a fresh representation the concerned Director General of Prisons, the same be decided in a time bound manner. Given above, the petitioner is at liberty to file a fresh representation before the concerned Director General of Prisons and in case, the petitioner files such representation within 15 days from today, the Director General of Prisons either personally or delegate the same to any IPS Officer under him, shall decide the same within one month from the date of ANJU RANI 2023.07.20 15:48 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Liberty reserved to the petitioner to file fresh petition or to take other legal remedies in accordance with the law, in case the petitioner is not satisfied with the outcome. 7.
It is clarified that there is no adjudication on merits and this order shall not come in the way if the interrogation of the petitioner is required in any cognizable case. It is further clarified that all the representations mentioned in the present petition, which are pending as on date, are treated to be closed.
