(ORAL) This petition is directed against the judgment of conviction and order of sentence dated 20.02.2017 of the learned Judicial Magistrate Ist Class, Ferozepur, whereby petitioner has been convicted and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of one year and pay fine of `200/-, and the judgment dated 01.11.2017 of the learned Additional Sessions Judge, affirming the judgment aforesaid of the trial Court. Learned State counsel, assisted by learned counsel for respondent No.2-complainant, producing the custody certificate of the petitioner, submits that the petitioner did not surrender before the jail authorities after expiry of three months, in violation of order of this Court dated 30.01.

2018, wherein it was clarified that in case the mediation in between the petitioner and respondent No.2-complainant would fail, in that eventuality, this revision petition shall be dismissed. According to the Mediator, the petitioner did not appear before him despite issuance of three notices. Therefore, no mediation efforts could be made in between the parties.
